In a small Sierra foothill town, the biggest event of the year isn’t a parade or festival. It’s the annual Christmas dollhouse competition: a cutthroat battleground run by aging boomers, obsessive craftsmen, and heated rivalries. 

For decades, one man ruled this tiny empire: Nate’s father.

Nate never wanted any of it. He didn't want to build miniature houses, he didn't want to stay in his hometown, and he certainly didn't want to spend his adult life trapped in a shadow he could never outgrow. 

But after putting his life on hold to care for his family, the years slipped away. Now, with his father gone to cancer, Nate is left carrying the weight of a legacy he never asked for, and a streak of soul-crushing losses to his father’s bitterest rival.

Tired, depressed, and teetering on the edge of self-destruction, Nate faces a choice: stay buried in regret, or finally break free.

To move on, he realizes he has to finish what was started. But he can't win by copying his father's blueprint. Supported by a long-time local crush, Nate decides to take one last shot at the crown by building something entirely his own.
